Writing with Wedgie and Gizmo 10-23-18

Mrs. Little's 4th grade students listened to an excerpt reading of 2018-2019 Texas Bluebonnet Nominee Wedgie and Gizmo and were then inspired to write their own short stories from an animal's perspective.

STEM Centers 10-22-18

Kinder, first and second grade students had a blast visiting the various STEM centers in the library this week!

Building a Haunted House 10/19/18

4th and 5th grade QUEST students visited the library for their third enrichment session of the year.  They were challenged to construct a haunted house, with specified attributes, using on the materials given in a certain amount of time.  They had a great time!

Texas 2x2 Read Aloud with Dr. Johnson! 10-18-18

Students in kindergarten through second grade visiting the library this week were treated to a reading of After the Fall: How Humpty Dumpty Got Back Up Again by DISD superintendent Dr. Jessica Johnson!

3D Street Art 10/5/18

1st-5th grade QUEST students visited the library to learn about 3D street chalk art and then went outdoors to create some of their own!
