A Surprise Visitor 10/29/19
4th Grade students were enjoying a video read aloud of Texas Bluebonnet Nominee The Boo Boos That Changed the World by our very own DISD Superintendent Dr. Jessica Johnson when guess who should pop in to say hi?!
Reptile Invasion 10/30/19
This week our K-2 students have been reading Texas 2x2 books involving reptiles including Crunch the Shy Dinosaur and the biography Joan Procter Dragon Doctor. Mrs. Stoker even brought a few scaly friends from home and they were a HUGE hit! K-1 students then got to create their own pretend fossils with model dinosaurs and Play dough, while 2nd graders learned about reptiles native to our area.
QUEST Enrichment: Food Fact or Fiction? 10/28/19
This week our QUEST students enjoyed eating popcorn while learning about it's origin and history. Then we played a short Jeopardy game to see what the students could remember. On the next visit, students will be able to research a food of their choice and come up with their own Jeopardy questions.
